2017年リリースのこの曲、なんとジョルジャスミスが16歳の頃に書いた曲だそう…！！
恋愛に対する達観した視点がとても16歳のものと思えず、なんとなく宇多田ヒカルのデビュー時を連想してしまいました。
タイトルは、十代の幻想（ファンタジー）。
十代といえば、自分も相手も未熟で、一人の人間としてまだ確立する途中の時期ですが、
恋へ経験不足から、その時は好きになった人を「この人しかいない！」と思ってしまうし、
なんとなく周囲と比べてしまって、恋人がいないと劣等感を抱いたりしますよね。
（これは大人になっても人によってはそうなのかもしれませんが…）
そんな十代の恋愛を「ファンタジー」だとぶった切り、
まずは自分自身が何者なのか見つけるのが先でしょ？
人生まだこれから長いから、楽しみながら焦らず恋を見つければいいんじゃない？
と言えるのは（しかも16歳の若さで）、人間が出来すぎていて本当にすごい。
ちなみにジョルジャ自身はこの曲のインタビューで、
「自身は初恋の人とずっと付き合っているので失恋をしたことがない。」
「この曲の歌詞は、周りの友人の状況を歌ったもの」
と話していたので、自身は若くしてお互いを理解し合える関係を築いたからこそ、本当にお互いを求めあっているわけではない恋愛に違和感を感じたのかもしれませんね。
